RELEVANSI ANTARA LAJU POPULASI DAN KETAHANAN EKONOMI PERSPEKTIF HADIST SUNAN ABI DAUD NO. 2050

Abstract

Purpose- This study is to explain the increase in human population. How it impacts the economy, what are the strategies for dealing with it, and how Islam views the problem of population increase. Method- This study is disqualified as a qualitative study with a descriptive method. The analysis was conducted with a thematic and contextual approach to the hadith, associated with Islamic economic theories and population policies. Findings- The Hadith of Sunan Abi Daud No. 2050 which encourages people to marry women who are loving and fertile shows that Islam views population growth positively as part of the strength of the people. In the context of economic resilience, some parties view high population rates as a strategic potential, because a large population can be a productive human resource and a broad economic market. This pro view emphasizes the importance of utilizing population as development capital through education and empowerment. However, on the other hand, there is a contra view that considers that population growth without careful planning can cause various problems such as unemployment, poverty, and social inequality. Therefore, although this hadith contains positive encouragement for the quantity of the people, its application must be accompanied by a contextual approach so that the population rate truly supports economic resilience, not a burden on social life and development
