This study aims to explore Islamic guidance and counseling as a holistic framework for addressing personal, educational, and social well-being in Islamic societies. Using a qualitative library-based method, the research analyzes classical Islamic texts, contemporary scholarly works, and recent studies on counseling and psychology. The findings reveal that Islamic counseling, rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah, effectively promotes compassion, forgiveness, justice, and resilience, aligning closely with modern psychological principles of well-being. Moreover, it offers unique contributions to mental health, conflict resolution, and social justice through its integration of spiritual and ethical dimensions. This study contributes to the growing discourse on faith-based counseling by proposing an integrative model that harmonizes spiritual authenticity with professional psychological practice
Nazeer Datti Abdullahi Copyright (c) 2025 Nazeer Datti Abdullahi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://ejournal.staiduba.ac.id/index.php/alabshar/article/view/442 Mon, 20 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Algoritmic Leadership: Literature Review Of Opportunities And Challenges In The Digital Age https://ejournal.staiduba.ac.id/index.php/alabshar/article/view/466
The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence, big data, and algorithms has revolutionized leadership practices across diverse sectors, fostering a transition toward adaptive and technology-driven approaches. Traditional pesantren with individual leadership models find it difficult to develop due to non-collective development approaches. Modern pesantren face moral crisis challenges due to insufficient internalization of moral values in pesantren activities sourced from religious texts. Combined traditional-modern pesantren face dilemmatic challenges in maintaining traditional values while responding to changing times, causing pesantren to tend to prioritize technical management while neglecting mastery of classical Islamic texts (kitab kuning). These challenges must be responded to responsively by implementing pesantren managerial innovations to maintain sustainability amid societal demands. Pesantren managerial innovation is expected to become a strategic step in maintaining traditional pesantren values and evolving with modernity, without losing the indigenous identity of pesantren. This research uses qualitative methods with a literature review approach analyzing various relevant literature sources. This study aims to analyze the importance of pesantren managerial transformation by integrating traditional leadership models with modern management principles. Pesantren managerial transformation can use strategic management concepts in achieving pesantren goals including visionary planning, measurable goal setting, and continuous evaluation.
Fauzan, Moh. However, many teachers still experience a low level of work meaning, often due to limited self-regulation and a lack of reflective understanding of their teaching purpose. This study aims to examine the level of self-regulation and work meaning, and to analyze the influence of self-regulation on the meaning of work among MTs PAI clump teachers. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through questionnaires on self-regulation and work meaning from 30 teachers at MTs N 1 Banjarnegara, MTs Muhammadiyah Mandiraja, and MTs Al-Ma’arif Rakit. Data analysis involved classical assumption and regression tests. The results indicate a significant positive effect of self-regulation on the meaning of work, with a significance value of 0.046 and a regression coefficient of 0.403, leading to the rejection of H₀ and acceptance of Hₐ. This finding implies that higher self-regulation enhances teachers’ sense of work meaning. The study contributes to understanding how psychological self-management supports teachers in finding purpose, calmness, and relevance in their teaching practice within the digital education landscape.
Suliwati, Ratih, Siti Nok Chalimah Copyright (c) 2025 Suliwati, Ratih, Siti Nok Chalimah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://ejournal.staiduba.ac.id/index.php/alabshar/article/view/461 Wed, 22 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Ai-Driven Innovation In Islamic Schools: Impacts, Opportunities And Ethical Challenges https://ejournal.staiduba.ac.id/index.php/alabshar/article/view/467
The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed educational practices, including those within Islamic schooling systems. This study investigates the challenges, opportunities, and ethical implications of integrating AI technologies into Islamic education. The research aims to analyze how AI tools—such as adaptive learning systems, gamified instruction, digital learning content, and automated administration—enhance learning personalization, access, and engagement while maintaining Islamic educational values. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the study synthesizes findings from academic literature, case studies, and expert perspectives on AI-based pedagogy in Islamic contexts. The results reveal that AI contributes positively to improving instructional efficiency, contextualized learning, and global collaboration among Islamic institutions. However, the findings also highlight critical ethical concerns, including content conformity with Islamic teachings, data privacy, the risk of dehumanization in learning, and algorithmic bias. These issues underscore the need for value-sensitive AI design that complements, rather than replaces, human educators. The study contributes to the discourse on responsible technology integration in religious education, proposing a framework for ethical and culturally grounded AI implementation that preserves the spiritual, moral, and humanistic essence of Islamic learning.
Agus Suryana, Ismail Mustaqim, Ajun Rois Copyright (c) 2025 Agus Suryana, Ismail Mustaqim, Ajun Rois https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://ejournal.staiduba.ac.id/index.php/alabshar/article/view/467 Wed, 22 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Habituation of Green Education Based on Islamic Values: Instilling Environmental Ethics from an Early Age https://ejournal.staiduba.ac.id/index.php/alabshar/article/view/463
his study examines the implementation of environmental education from an early age at SDIT Al Akbar through simple habituation activities rooted in Islamic values. The research aims to identify how daily practices can shape students’ environmental awareness and moral responsibility. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that routine activities such as watering plants, maintaining classroom cleanliness, and using water wisely have become ingrained habits among students. These practices not only foster environmental responsibility but also reflect Islamic teachings on stewardship (amanah) and moderation (israf). Lessons in Aqidah Akhlak, Fiqh, and Science further reinforce students’ understanding of caring for nature as part of faith and moral conduct. Teachers and parents play crucial roles as role models and facilitators, ensuring consistency between school and home environments. Despite several challenges, such as limited facilities and varying levels of student awareness, this habituation model has proven effective in building a culture of environmental care from an early age. The study contributes to the development of integrative environmental education that combines ecological awareness with Islamic moral values. It also provides a practical framework for other Islamic schools seeking to implement meaningful and sustainable environmental learning practices.
Siti Khumairo' Yuli Al Manik, Iflahatul Chasanah, Annida Azka Putri Salsabila Copyright (c) 2025 Siti Khumairo' Yuli Al Manik, Iflahatul Chasanah, Annida Azka Putri Salsabila https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://ejournal.staiduba.ac.id/index.php/alabshar/article/view/463 Sat, 25 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Harnessing Artificial Intelligence for the Reinforcement of Islamic Values: A Transformation in Madrasah Education https://ejournal.staiduba.ac.id/index.php/alabshar/article/view/465
This study analyzes the transformation of Islamic education in madrasahs through the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology as a means to strengthen Islamic values. The research aims to understand how AI can be utilized not only to enhance learning effectiveness but also to support the internalization of moral and spiritual principles in education. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, the research was conducted in two madrasahs that have adopted AI-based learning systems. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, and then analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings indicate that AI technology significantly enhances learning personalization, efficiency, and student engagement. Nonetheless, the success of this digital transformation relies on the teacher’s role as a moral and spiritual facilitator rather than a passive technology user. Teachers consciously embed Islamic values such as honesty (ṣidq), discipline (istiḳāmah), and responsibility (amānah) within AI-assisted learning interactions. However, several challenges remain, including limited digital infrastructure, insufficient teacher training in AI literacy, and the absence of formal policies supporting the systematic integration of Islamic values. This study concludes that the transformation of Islamic education in the AI era must harmonize technological innovation with spiritual and ethical guidance. The synergy between technology, educators, and institutional policy is crucial to developing adaptive, value-based Islamic education.
Ayit Irpani Copyright (c) 2025 Ayit Irpani https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://ejournal.staiduba.ac.id/index.php/alabshar/article/view/465 Sat, 25 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000
