This study aims to analyse the implementation of the Image-Based Learning (IBL) approach based on the Dual Coding theory in improving Arabic reading skills (maharah qiroah) of 12 postgraduate students during the learning process in the classroom. The study employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of the learning process in the Arabic Language Education Programme at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. Data validity is ensured through triangulation of sources and data collection techniques. The results indicate that the IBL approach is effective in activating students' schemas, enriching vocabulary, deepening understanding of Arab cultural context, and developing critical thinking skills through text structure analysis. The integration of Dual Coding theory enables students to process information simultaneously through visual and verbal channels, significantly enhancing retention and reading comprehension. These findings reinforce the evidence of the effectiveness of interactive visual media in Arabic language learning. The contribution of this research lies in affirming the strategic role of visualisation in developing analytical skills and comprehensive discourse understanding. Therefore, the Dual Coding-based IBL approach is recommended as an adaptive pedagogical strategy in maharah qirā’ah learning to meet the demands of 21st-century learning.
2025-10-11T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Vivia Salma Azzaahro, Ikhwanul Habib, Taqiyuddin Kabalmay, Muhibbuddin https://ejournal.staiduba.ac.id/index.php/alirfan/article/view/586 Cultural Transformation In the Short Story “Nihayatus Syaykh” By Ali Thanthawi: A Postcolonial Analysis 2025-10-15T04:20:58+00:00 Rasyidah Almardhiyah 220502029@student.ar-raniry.ac.id Rasyad Rasyad rasyad@ar-raniry.ac.id Anshar Zulhelmi Zulhelmi anshar.zulhelmi@ar-raniry.ac.id
This study investigates the process of cultural transformation depicted in Ali Thanthawi’s short story “Nihayatus Syaikh” through the lens of Edward Said’s postcolonial framework, particularly the concept of Orientalism. The central problem addressed in this research is the tension between traditional Arab cultural values and the forces of colonial modernization, which reshaped social structures, educational systems, and identity formation in early twentieth-century Arab society. To examine this issue, the study employs a qualitative descriptive method, focusing on textual interpretation and thematic analysis. The objective is to reveal how the narrative reflects shifts in cultural norms and to understand the protagonist’s—an elderly traditional teacher—struggle in responding to these changes. The analysis shows that cultural transformation in the story occurs at multiple levels. Administratively, the requirement for formal diplomas symbolizes the institutionalization of Western educational standards. Morally and socially, the younger generation’s adoption of modern, individualistic, and Western-oriented lifestyles represents a departure from earlier values such as simplicity, humility, and religiosity. The short story further critiques the declining respect for local scholarly authority and the erosion of intellectual dignity amid rapid modernization. The findings demonstrate that colonial influence is not limited to political or structural dimensions but also permeates cultural consciousness, shaping how individuals perceive their own identity. The contribution of this study lies in positioning “Nihayatus Syaikh” as a cultural document that reveals complex dynamics of resistance, adaptation, and loss within a postcolonial context. This research highlights the need to preserve cultural awareness and critical reflection when navigating modernization pressures.
2025-11-26T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Rasyidah Almardhiyah, Rasyad, Anshar Zulhelmi Zulhelmi https://ejournal.staiduba.ac.id/index.php/alirfan/article/view/599 Islamic Syncretism and Barodak Customs: A Study of Cultural Accommodation Theory in Islamic Anthropology 2025-11-08T04:24:56+00:00 Rifky Ramdhani ramdhanirifky264@gmail.com Thobib Al-Asyhar thobib.asyhar@ui.ac.id Yon Machmudi machmudi@ui.ac.id
The barodak tradition practiced by the Tau Samawa community in Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara, is a ritual performed before a wedding procession or circumcision, involving the stretching of the bride-to-be’s body using a traditional herb called odak. Although it appears as a physical ceremony, barodak carries deep symbolic and spiritual dimensions, and in local belief, neglecting the ritual may lead to physical or metaphysical disturbances. The problem addressed in this study is the tension perceived between the preservation of local cultural rituals and the internalization of Islamic values within contemporary Samawa society. The purpose of this research is to analyze how the Sumbawa community negotiates the relationship between customary practices and Islamic teachings. Using an ethnographic qualitative method, this study employs direct observation, in-depth interviews, and indigenous documentation to explore culture–religion interaction in the barodak ritual. The findings reveal that the community does not reject Islam; instead, they integrate religious principles into customary practices in a harmonious and adaptive manner. The barodak tradition reflects the community’s capacity to maintain cultural continuity while upholding spiritual norms. The contribution of this research lies in offering a contextual understanding of how local rituals function as a medium for expressing collective cultural and religious identity. It highlights the importance of safeguarding local traditions such as barodak as part of cultural preservation efforts that remain aligned with spiritual and communal values.
2025-12-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Rifky Ramdhani, Thobib Al-Asyhar, Yon Machmudi https://ejournal.staiduba.ac.id/index.php/alirfan/article/view/611 Development of Arabic Culture-Based Storytelling Media through a Project-Based Learning Approach 2025-11-20T06:49:21+00:00 Liazi Maulidi rozisdmuh1@gmail.com Ratna Komalasari 240406020.mhs@uimataram.ac.id Ardia Pramesti Regita Cahyani 240406029.mhs@uinmataram.ac.id Fathul Maujud fathulmaujudd@uinmataram.ac.id
This research was conducted descriptively to identify gaps, synthesize relevant concepts, and formulate the most appropriate theoretical model. The study produced a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) framework for creating Arabic culture–based storytelling that is ready to be implemented in the classroom. This model is designed to encourage students to collaborate actively and use Arabic in authentic contexts—namely by creating and presenting stories—so it is expected to enhance their speaking skills (mahārat al-kalām). In addition, the model is anticipated to increase students’ learning motivation and their understanding of Arab culture. Conceptually, this model is feasible to apply and has the potential to become an effective new approach to making Arabic language instruction more engaging and practical. The implications of this study indicate that the developed framework can serve as a guideline for teachers in designing more contextual and creative project-based Arabic language learning. Implementing this model has the potential to promote cultural integration in language teaching, improve the quality of communicative interaction in the classroom, and strengthen performance-based learning. Furthermore, this research opens opportunities for the development of media, assessments, and curricula that support Arabic cultural storytelling across different educational levels.
2025-12-10T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Liazi Maulidi, Ratna Komalasari, Ardia Pramesti Regita Cahyani, Fathul Maujud https://ejournal.staiduba.ac.id/index.php/alirfan/article/view/641 Propp’s Narrative Morphology in Yemeni Folklore The King and the Fortune Teller 2025-12-13T04:32:35+00:00 Batrisya Irdina An'nisa anisabatrisya@gmail.com Laily Fitriani laily@bsa.uin-malang.ac.id
Previous studies using Vladimir Propp’s theory have largely concentrated on German and Indonesian folklore, leaving a significant research gap in the analysis of narrative structures and character roles within Arabic oral literature. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method supported by library research to gather and process textual materials.. The result show that fourteen of Propp’s fourty-one narrative functions, spesifically α – Σ – γ – A – δ – D – T – Pr – Rs – H – W – Q – Q – W are present in the story. Only three of Propp’s seven-character categories appears in the narrative, namely the hero, villain, and helper. Abdul Basith and examine its pedagogical implications for Arabic morphology learning. The research addresses the phenomenon of limited understanding in many Islamic educational institutions that restrict isim fā‘il to a single pattern, despite the existence of broader variations in classical sharaf theory. This study employed a qualitative approach using library research design. Data were collected through documentation techniques by examining the primary text of KH. Abdul Basith’s book, supported by classical sharaf references and contemporary linguistic studies. The data were analyzed through classification, comparison, and interpretation of the identified wazan patterns based on classical morphological principles. The findings reveal that the book presents diverse wazan forms of isim fā‘il, such as فَاعِلٌ، فَعِلٌ، فَعِيْلٌ، فَعْلَانُ، أَفْعَلُ, and فَعَلٌ, which generally align with classical sharaf rules and reflect distinct semantic nuances such as permanence, intensity, and temporary states. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of Arabic morphological richness and emphasize the importance of integrating structural and semantic dimensions in teaching sharaf. The study implies that Arabic learning materials should adopt a more comprehensive approach to wazan variation to enhance students’ conceptual mastery. Further research is recommended to explore the practical implementation of these patterns in classroom settings and their impact on students’ linguistic competence.
2026-01-02T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 David Arif Prayogi, Dedy Irawan, Afif Amrullah, Safari Daud https://ejournal.staiduba.ac.id/index.php/alirfan/article/view/637 Heuristic and Hermeneutic Readings of Maher Zain’s “Ramadan”: A Riffaterrean Semiotic Analysis 2025-12-09T01:28:30+00:00 Albi Majdi Syam muhammadalbimajdisyam@gmail.com Akmaliyah Akmaliyah emalakmaliyah@gmail.com Yadi Mardiansyah nashr7@uinsgd.ac.id Setia Gumilar setiagumilar@uinsgd.ac.id
‘Ramadhan (Arabic Version)’ to uncover the spiritual and connotative meanings hidden within them. Given that Arabic pop song lyrics are currently a popular means of intellectual communication among Gen Z, Michael Riffaterre's semiotic analysis, with its concepts of double reading, hypogram, matrix, and variant, was chosen as the methodological approach. This qualitative descriptive study used observation and note-taking techniques and literature study, with song lyrics as the main object.

The results of the analysis show that heuristic (literal) reading produces separate denotative meanings, such as in the phrase فَالشّوقُ طَال (longing has been long). However, the presence of ungrammatical elements such as the personification of Ramadan as لِلرُّوحِ دَوَاء (‘medicine for the soul’) forces the reader towards the hermeneutic (retroactive) stage. Hermeneutic reading reveals the core Matrix of the lyrics, namely Longing for Ramadan, which is transformed through the Model of a call (munada) full of love ( يَا حَبِيب). Variants such as يَا نُورُ الْهِلاَلْ and يَا شَهرَ القُرآن serve to reinforce this Matrix. This song uses the hypogram of piety (QS. Al-Baqarah: 197) and ends with a prayer that reflects the resolution of the poetic tension between the desire for eternity and the transience of time. This study confirms the effectiveness of Riffaterre's model in exploring spiritual and symbolic values in contemporary Arabic music.
2026-01-02T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Albi Majdi Syam, Akmaliyah, Yadi Mardiansyah https://ejournal.staiduba.ac.id/index.php/alirfan/article/view/440 The Style of Letters and Meaning: Integration of Arabic Literary Aesthetics in the Teaching of Kitab Kuning in Pesantren 2025-08-03T08:53:21+00:00 M. Arabic plays a crucial role in Islamic education; however, its learning process in non-native contexts often faces complex obstacles. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with teachers and students, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the problems of Arabic learning can be categorized into linguistic and non-linguistic aspects. Linguistically, students experience difficulties in mastering Arabic grammar (qawaid), developing speaking skills (kalam), and acquiring sufficient vocabulary (mufradat). Non-linguistic challenges include limited learning facilities, the predominance of conventional teaching methods, time constraints, and low learning motivation among some students. To overcome these issues, teachers implement several strategies, such as applying step-by-step grammar instruction, using language games (lu‘bah) to enhance speaking skills, assigning daily vocabulary memorization, and creatively utilizing simple and contextual learning media. The results indicate that these efforts contribute positively to increasing student engagement and improving learning outcomes. This study contributes theoretically to the development of Arabic language education by highlighting the interplay between linguistic and non-linguistic factors. Practically, it offers insights for teachers and policymakers to design more innovative, interactive, and motivational Arabic learning practices suited to the Indonesian madrasah context.
2026-01-16T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Diana Putri Oktavian, Saefullah Azhari, Nurul Istiqomah Istiqomah https://ejournal.staiduba.ac.id/index.php/alirfan/article/view/642 Body, Land, and Oppression: An Ecofeminist Analysis of Nawal El-Saadawi’s Al-Ughniyyat Al-Daairiyah 2026-01-03T04:26:18+00:00 Farhan Hardiansyah rahmiawliya6@gmail.com Dayudin Dayudin dayudin@uinsgd.ac.id Khomisah Khomisah khomisah@uinsgd.ac.id
This study examines the problem of patriarchal domination and the intertwined oppression of women and nature in Nawal El-Saadawi’s novel Al-Ughniyyat Al-Daairiyah. It aims to identify the forms of patriarchal control depicted in the narrative, uncover the meanings of bodily and spatial colonization experienced by the female characters, and analyze the relationship between women and nature from an ecofeminist perspective. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method using close reading and note-taking techniques. The primary data source is the text of the novel itself, which is analyzed through ecofeminist theories proposed by Karen J. Warren and Vandana Shiva. The findings reveal that the female body is represented as a political and ideological space subject to regulation and domination, paralleling the patriarchal exploitation of nature. Acts of bodily colonization, institutional violence, and symbolic links between the body and the environment illustrate a persistent logic of domination embedded in social structures. The novel ultimately asserts that the struggle for women’s emancipation is inseparable from the restoration of ecological balance. This research contributes to contemporary Arabic literary criticism by offering an integrated ecofeminist reading and enriching interdisciplinary discussions on gender, power, and environmental ethics in modern Arabic literature.
2026-02-10T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Farhan Hardiansyah, Dayudin, Khomisah https://ejournal.staiduba.ac.id/index.php/alirfan/article/view/564 Improving Students’ Arabic Vocabulary Acquisition through a Flashcard-Assisted Drill Method 2025-11-08T04:12:34+00:00 Laura Rohmatul Azkiya laurarahmah28@gmail.com Wulan Indah Fatimatul Djamilah Wulanindah@uinsa.ac.id Ely Mufidah elfidah22@gmail.com
Low students’ learning motivation and limited vocabulary (mufrodat) mastery remain persistent challenges in Arabic language learning, leading to low student engagement and overall learning outcomes. This study aims to improve students’ vocabulary mastery through the implementation of the drill method supported by flashcard media. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with the researcher acting as the instructor in the Arabic language learning process involving 32 seventh-grade students. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews, and questionnaires to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the teaching and learning process and students’ responses. The results indicate that the systematic application of the drill method combined with flashcard media enhances students’ vocabulary retention, pronunciation accuracy, and learning enthusiasm. Flashcards function as visual stimuli that support memory reinforcement, while repetitive practice through the drill method deepens students’ understanding of vocabulary. In addition, students demonstrate increased motivation, self-confidence, and active participation during classroom activities. Therefore, the integration of the drill method and flashcard media proves to be an effective and enjoyable learning strategy for improving vocabulary mastery in Arabic language learning and can serve as an alternative approach for teachers in developing vocabulary instruction.
2026-02-27T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Laura Rohmatul Azkiya, Wulan Indah Fatimatul Djamilah , Ely Mufidah https://ejournal.staiduba.ac.id/index.php/alirfan/article/view/788 The Tragedy Of Love And Exile In ‘’Qashidah Nuniyyah’’ By Ibn Zaydun: A Semiological Analysis By Roland Barthes 2026-02-23T03:22:16+00:00 Nafidzah Hishosul Abawani nafidzahha53@gmail.com Khomisah Khomisah khomisah@uinsgd.ac.id Ihin Solihin ihinsolihin@uinsgd.ac.id
This study addresses the problem of how the tragedy of love and exile in Qasidah Nūniyyah by Ibn Zaydun is constructed as a system of meaning that operates not only emotionally but also ideologically. Previous studies have predominantly emphasized its aesthetic and romantic dimensions, leaving its symbolic and mythological structures insufficiently explored. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the construction of tragic love and exile through the semiological framework of Roland Barthes, particularly his three levels of signification: denotation, connotation, and myth. Employing a qualitative descriptive method with textual analysis, this study examines selected verses containing major symbols such as night, tears, longing, fire, and exile. The findings indicate that at the denotative level, these symbols refer to literal experiences of separation and displacement. At the connotative level, they represent psychological suffering and identity fragmentation. At the mythological level, however, tragedy is naturalized as a process of spiritual purification and moral legitimation, where suffering becomes a sign of loyalty and dignity. The contribution of this research lies in demonstrating the applicability of Barthesian semiology to classical Arabic literature and revealing the ideological dimension embedded within Andalusian poetic symbolism.
2026-03-07T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Nafidzah Hishosul Abawani, Khomisah, Iin Solihin https://ejournal.staiduba.ac.id/index.php/alirfan/article/view/560 The Lexical Semantics of Safara in the Qur’anic Discourse: A Contextual and Linguistic Analysis 2025-10-31T13:11:56+00:00 Syifa Pauzia Habsi Syifapauziaspn@gmail.com Neli Asmaniah neliasmaniah@gmail.com Singgar Mantahari Dalimunthe Singgardalimunthe47@gmail.com
Semantic studies of Qur’anic vocabulary are often confined to partial lexical interpretations that separate the physical and metaphysical dimensions of meaning. This study highlights the semantic complexity of the lexeme safara (سفر), which possesses various semantic derivations—ranging from travel (safar), illumination (asfara), to angels (safarah)—that are frequently misunderstood as unrelated homonyms. The aim of this research is to reconstruct the semantic structure of the word safara in order to identify the core meaning that binds these variants within the Qur’anic worldview. Using a descriptive qualitative method with the Semantic Field Theory approach and componential meaning analysis, this study examines eleven Qur’anic verses containing derivations of the root safara. The findings reveal a novel insight: the derivations of safara do not merely denote “travel,” but rather revolve around the philosophical concept of al-inkisyāf (disclosure or unveiling). Safar signifies the unveiling of one’s true character and the discovery of new places; asfara denotes the unveiling of light from the darkness of dawn; and safarah refers to the unveiling of written revelation conveyed by angels. The theoretical implication of this study demonstrates that the Qur’anic derivational system integrates natural phenomena, human activities, and metaphysical entities within a coherent semantic network, while also challenging conventional lexical interpretations that limit safara solely to the notion of physical mobility.
2026-03-07T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Syifa Pauzia Habsi , Neli Asmaniah, Singgar Mantahari Dalimunthe https://ejournal.staiduba.ac.id/index.php/alirfan/article/view/574 Linguistic Error Analysis in Students’ Course Assignments: Patterns and Pedagogical Implications 2025-11-03T04:23:38+00:00 Raed Awadh Saeed Alghatnaini 230104220051@student.uin-malang.ac.id Bakri Mohammed Bkheit Ahmed bakribkheet@gmail.com Dewi Chamidah dewichamidah@pba.uin-malang.ac.id
This study aims to analyze linguistic errors occurring in final project presentations by master's students in Arabic Language Education, semester 4, at Maulana Malik Ibrahim State University, Malang. The form of khitobah learning includes basic khitobah theories such as speech structure, speaking ethics, speech practice or public rhetoric, and conference/seminar simulations (students presenting papers or ideas in front of the class). Meanwhile, the munadzarah learning form consists of role-playing (students acting as orators or resource persons in certain scenarios), structured discussions with clear rules for constructing arguments, argument delivery exercises, and a final project in the form of an Arabic debate.
2026-03-11T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Hermiwati, Faisal Mahmoud Adam, Zakiya Arifah https://ejournal.staiduba.ac.id/index.php/alirfan/article/view/582 Smart Apps Creator as Digital Media in Arabic Language Learning 2025-11-10T02:03:21+00:00 Ihda Auliya Ainul Jannah auliyaihda17@gmail.com Syarifudin Basyar syarifudinbasyar@radenintan.ac.id Erlina Erlina erlina@radenintan.ac.id Koderi Koderi koderi@radenintan.ac.id Nurul Fadlilahh nf459851@gmail.com
Arabic language learning in Islamic educational institutions continues to face challenges related to low student engagement and the limited use of interactive digital learning media. The data were taken from the poetic text published on the website aldiwan.net, while the data collection technique was conducted through library research and analyzed using the study of ʿarūḍ to determine the type of baḥr and rhythmic variations, namely ziḥāf and ‘illat. The moral messages were then interpreted based on their types and forms. The results show that this qasīdah employs baḥr ṭawīl with a consistent basic pattern, although it frequently undergoes modifications due to the ziḥāf qabḍ. In verse 30, there is also an occurrence of the ‘illat ḥażf. In terms of morality, the most dominant message concerns human relationships with others 30 verses, followed by relationships with oneself 26 verses, and lastly relationships with God 3 verses. Regarding the forms of moral expression, exemplary conduct is the most dominant 30 verses, followed by warnings 21 verses and advice 8 verses, affirming the qasīdah’s character as an ethical reflection on peace, social responsibility, and wisdom in confronting conflict. These findings confirm that the qaṣīdah not only presents the beauty of rhythmic structure within the tradition of ʿarūḍ, but also conveys profound moral messages concerning social relationships, self-control, and human values. This study demonstrates that ʿarūḍ analysis is effective in revealing the relationship between rhythmic patterns and moral meaning in classical Arabic poetry, particularly in identifying the function of zihāf and ʿillat variations as part of both aesthetic and ethical expression in literary texts.
2026-03-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Danish Algibrani, Nurlinah, Akmaliyah https://ejournal.staiduba.ac.id/index.php/alirfan/article/view/561 Classrooms without Boundaries: Arabic Learning Innovation through Digital Technology 2025-11-03T04:18:27+00:00 Nikmatul Makfiro maghfiro335@gmail.com Mohammad Samsul Ulum samsul@pai.uin-malang.ac.id Ridwan Ridwan ridwan@uin-malang.ac.id Muhammed Yahya Kader 67778267@mylife.unisa.ac.za Nasiba Kamalova A'zambekovna kamalovanasiba90@gmail.com
Major changes in education in the digital age have encouraged non-formal institutions to innovate, including the KUBA program in Malang. Limited space, time, and resources have made digital technology a key strategy for expanding access and supporting contextual learning. This study analyzes the use of digital technology in Arabic language learning at KUBA Malang, focusing on teacher strategies, participant engagement, and challenges encountered. A qualitative case study was applied, with data collected through semi-structured interviews and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model with triangulation of sources. The results show that KUBA integrates Google Meet for online classes, WhatsApp for coordination, and Quizizz for assessment. Innovations are seen in digital comics, animated videos, and native speaker audio, which facilitate vocabulary learning and improve speaking skills. The main challenge is unstable internet connection, which is overcome by providing class recordings for students who cannot attend or experience technical problems. KUBA also offers guidance in routine speaking activities to support material and mental readiness. One of the factors contributing to this condition is students’ limited vocabulary mastery and the lack of optimal integration between vocabulary learning and speaking practice. Vocabulary is often taught separately and focused on memorization, which causes students to experience difficulties in applying vocabulary in oral communication. This study aims to examine the use of integrative vocabulary materials implemented by teachers in improving students’ maharah kalam skills at a Madrasah Tsanawiyah. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method and was conducted at a state Madrasah Tsanawiyah. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of learning activities. The findings indicate that the use of integrative vocabulary materials can improve students’ speaking fluency, confidence in using Arabic orally, and accuracy in vocabulary usage during maharah kalam activities. In addition, this strategy encourages students’ activeness and participation throughout the learning process. This study contributes to the development of Arabic language learning based on integrative vocabulary instruction and provides practical implications for teachers in designing more communicative and contextual learning to enhance students’ speaking skills.
2026-04-05T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Egha Rahma Ramadhanti, Wulan Indah Fatimatul Djamilah https://ejournal.staiduba.ac.id/index.php/alirfan/article/view/624 Universal Justice in QS. Al-Mā’idah 8 through Fazlur Rahman’s double movement hermeneutical approach and its relevance to the issue of global Human Rights (HR) bias in the case of Palestine. The verse emphasizes the obligation to uphold justice for all people, including adversaries, and rejects any form of injustice driven by hatred, prejudice, or political interests. This research employs a qualitative method using library-based analysis. The findings indicate that although various international human rights organizations have documented serious violations committed by Israel against the Palestinian people, global responses—particularly from major powers such as the United States—remain selective and politically motivated. This situation reveals a significant disparity between the ideal principles of universal human rights and their actual implementation in geopolitical practice. The study concludes that the Qur’anic principle of justice, when interpreted through Rahman’s hermeneutics, provides a strong ethical framework for critiquing such double standards and for promoting a more consistent, impartial, and humane human rights paradigm in support of justice for Palestine.
2026-04-05T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Mas'odi, Moh Zahid, Muhammad Khairul Anam bin Misdun https://ejournal.staiduba.ac.id/index.php/alirfan/article/view/598 The Use of Plotagon-Based Video Dialogue Media to Improve Arabic Speaking Skills 2025-11-26T16:39:44+00:00 Niswatul Izzah niswatulizzah741@gmail.com Saefullah Azhari saefullah652@gmail.com Ahmad Mudzakkir Hasyim habysamih@gmail.com
This study aims to examine the effect of using Plotagon-based video dialogue media on improving students’ Arabic speaking skills (maharah kalam) at grade XI-10 of MAN Sidoarjo.
