As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Author Guidelines
The Editor of Syura accepts articles under the following conditions:
The article has never been published, accepted for publication, or is under consideration elsewhere, and must be accompanied by a statement declaring that it is free from plagiarism.
Syura only accepts manuscripts with a focus on Law.
Articles must be submitted in soft file format (.docx) (typed using Microsoft Word) via email.
Articles written in Indonesian must follow academic writing standards. The manuscript should use Book Antiqua font, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing on A4 paper, and range between 3,500 to 7,500 words. This length includes citations (in-note or footnotes), references, figures, and tables.
Articles written in Arabic must follow academic writing standards. The manuscript should use Utsman Thaha font, size 16, with single spacing on A4 paper, and range between 3,500 to 7,500 words, including citations, references, figures, and tables.
Arabic-Latin transliteration in the Syura Journal follows the Joint Decree of the Minister of Religious Affairs and the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 158/1987 and 0543b/U/1987. Transliteration is only used for terms, names, titles, and references.
Direct quotations in Arabic must use Utsman Thaha font (size 12). Quotations in Indonesian or English must use Book Antiqua font (size 10). Quotations in Arabic or English must be accompanied by their translations.
Writing Format:
Title (5–12 words)
Author’s Name (without academic titles), including affiliation and email address
Abstract (150–250 words), covering the research problem, method, significance, and results
Keywords (3–5 words/phrases)
Structure of the Article:
Introduction The introduction should explain the importance of the research/article, the research problems addressed, the significance of the study, and related aspects.
Method After completing the introduction, the author should present the research method, whether qualitative or quantitative, including the approach used. The author should also explain data collection techniques and other relevant procedures. Priority is given to research-based and analytical articles, followed by conceptual papers. The citation system follows APA Style using in-text citations (in-note). Authors are encouraged to use citation management software such as Mendeley or Zotero.
Results and Discussion This section contains the author’s analysis of data and conceptual frameworks, as well as the research findings. Tables and figures may be included to support data completeness and authenticity. Citations must follow APA in-text style. Authors are encouraged to prioritize references from journals, books, or recent sources published within the last 5–10 years.
Conclusion The conclusion summarizes all findings or conceptual analyses. It should be written concisely and clearly. Authors may include suggestions and recommendations.
References The reference list must be prepared using APA Style with tools such as Mendeley.
